Lay Bare Waxing Salon: When You See Hair, It’s Time to Lay Bare!

“Kutkutero!”…I’m not even sure if there is such a word, but that’s what my fiance often calls me. The way I understand it, the word refers to someone who keeps noticing the smallest details and meddles with it. In short, if I see a small pimple on my face… I pop it. If I see a lone strand of hair (either mine or someone else’s), I pull it. I’m the type of person who has been accustomed to plucking and eventually shaving… but NEVER waxing.

I’ve only tried waxing once… when I was somewhere in my elementary years. My friend had just bought this self-waxing kit from Hong Kong and wanted to try it out on me. We tried it, but it didn’t work. We then got tired of it and I never tried waxing again. I figured plucking and shaving was good enough for me… but did you know the difference of shaving and waxing on your skin?

  • Shaving causes us to have dark spots, especially in the underarm area. Waxing on the other hand gives us smooth results.

  • Shaving also causes the hair to grow back a little thicker than it used to be. Waxing makes hair finer and gradually get lost.

And hey, who says waxing is just for the girls? If you want smoother glowing skin, regardless if you’re a guy or a girl.. waxing is the way to go!

However….just hearing the word, “waxing” often makes people cringed on their seats. I imagine hot wax being poured on the legs and a piece of white cloth slowly placed over it until…… *RIIIPPPP*! ooohh… OUCH!!! No no no, not for me! I’ve NEVER tried waxing and I NEVER planned to until I heard of Lay Bare.

Lay Bare aims to make hair waxing a little less traumatic for us by not only providing comfortable beds and relaxing interiors but by replacing HOT WAX with COLD SUGAR WAX instead. Hot wax is no longer the only solution but just one of the options.

So take away the notion of pain when you hear the word waxing. Forget all those short video clips on YouTube where the entire body is stripped of hair and is left red and sore. Replace all those bad memories with this: Acrylic bead curtains, natural accents, private cubicles, comfortable reclining beds….and nothing but COLD sugar wax. Now that’s more like it!
