Coach Rio is well known in the running community and he highly promotes health and wellness. So as part of his corporate social responsibility, RunRio has decided to end 2012 with a laid-back, easy-going, one-of-a-kind run for a cause!

In the Sin Tax Run, it is Coach Rio’s goal for pinoy runners to unite to demand a vote for health; a vote for sin tax reform!

So I’m sure that though you’re all thrilled to hear that the race is just 16 pesos, you’re also wondering why that’s so. Simply put, it’s time to end 16 years of abuse. If you don’t mind your own health, at least think about the children.

And as another extra bonus, check out the cash prizes for the top finishers! This has got to be the least expensive race with the most expensive cash price!

It doesn’t end here though, Coach Rio still has a lot of surprises and good deeds up is sleeve. For one, he highly encourages everyone to bring their own water bottle. Maybe we could try and hit 2 birds with one stone! Lessen trash too perhaps? More surprises await!

End the year right, end the year with a cause.

Run 6k for 16pesos on Dec. 16!
