Nike We Run Manila Aquiz Minlay

Runner: Marquis Albert Minlay

“What inspires me to run is the feeling I get after I cross the finish line. That after all the time and determination I put in training, it paid off and I outdid myself. That after all those naysayers said I can’t, I proved them wrong. That,at the least, for that fleeting moment, I own the world and no one can take that away from me.”

Clarissa Almeida

Runner: Clarissa Rebulanan

“After having been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, i felt that it was the end of the world for me. I had a low self esteem and no motivation to do anything. But then, when I saw my son that was too young, I think i had to do something. And then I got into running. Running gave me back my self confidence, and has make me feel strong and healthy again. it’s also a quality bonding time with my family. Its a therapy and an overload source of strength and power. It changes my lifestyle positively. I love to run because I know that I can live well and win the fight over Diabetes. And also, to inspire other diabetic like me to get up and exercise.”

Jennelyn Guerra

Runner: Jennelyn Guerra

“I do believe that running is life’s greatest metaphor. The joy, the struggles, the hardships, and successes we experience is exemplified with what we get out of running. Life’s experiences inspires me to run. The adrenaline rush that you experience when you start. The great feeling when you cross the finish line. Finding that inner peace and serenity. Life becomes more vibrant when I run. Running is the activity that is happier, exhilarating, and more nourishing to the soul to engage in. I run to breathe the fresh air. I run to explore. I run for a cause. Running is my escape from the ordinary. To savor the trip along the way. Struggling and suffering are the essence of a life worth living which is what I get out of running. So fellow runners, keep on running and enjoy the extraordinary trip.”
