It’s been a nice experience at the recently concluded [email protected] Fun Run 2013 at CCP Complex last January 12, 2013. The weather was just fine that we were able to start and finish the race safe and warm. Groups of runners, families, and friends gathered at the assembly area waiting for the gun start, and they were excited just as I am for our first run of the year. Approachable staffs and race organizers were seen helping out some runners for their last minute inquiries.

The 5K runners started at exactly 5:50am, and 6:00am for the 1K runners. I saw a few  familiar faces along the route and lots of foreigners too! I also spotted several friendly marshals who were properly assigned on the roads where runners weren’t supposed to pass. I felt this was a big thing because of the many times runners take a wrong turn in other unorganized runs.

I forgot to bring my hydration bottle but it didn’t become a problem because water stations were strategically placed along the route. Whew! Plus,  it was good to see that they provided trash bins in every station.

I was able to finish my 5K run in 30mins, unofficial time. After crossing, I saw a bunch of other runners from kids to oldies finish strong. Just like me, they ended the run sweaty and with a great smile at the finish line.

I was also able to get some goodies at the booths after the run. There were a bunch of Amway products  that were given to runners!

And of course, before leaving, I had to make sure I capture a quick photo of Amway Philippine’s Ambassador, Enchong Dee. He’s definitely handsome. I wasn’t able to run with him…guess he’s just too fast or maybe I was too slow, haha. Overall, it was a great run for a cause to start my 2013. Kudos to Amway Philippines!
