It’s not everyday that we have famous NBA players grace the Philippines with their presence. Everyone, even people who weren’t fans of NBA got excited upon hearing that they were coming to the Philippines. But besides just “working”, they made sure to leave a mark.
In partnership with the US Embassy and NBA, Alaska Milk Corporation held a Basketball clinic for the underserved youth last October 5, 2013 with 5-time champion and former Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers starRon Harper.
The Basketball clinic gathered more than 80 boys and girls from residential care facilities under the DSWD: Marillac Hills and Haven for Children. Alaska Milk aims to instill the values of determination, discipline, teamwork and hard work among the youth through sports.
I hope they could conduct clinics like this more often. Not only do the kids get to meet an NBA legend that everyone else is dying to meet, but they get to learn so much from him as well! Thumbs up to NBA ad the Alaska Milk Corporation!
