AffiniTea first opened its doors to Filipinos 2 years ago with its first branch in De La Salle University Taft. Today, they have 7 branches across Luzon. Ever since they started, AffiniTea has always found a way to give back and share the blessings they received themselves. Last year, they helped out several children with cancer; this year, they’ve decided to share their blessings with Tahanan ng Pagmamahal through a fun run.

Tahanan ng Pagmamahal

The couple Rey and Myrna Ortega, resident of Pasig, Metro Manila, moved by the staggering statistics on orphaned and abandoned children in the Philippines, decided in 2006 to organize an orphanage to provide shelter for some of those marginalized children.

Why “Raise ‘D Roof”?

Tahanan ng Pagmamahal started serving homeless children back in 2006 and has helped give a roof to over 40 children ranging from 0 to 16 years old. However, with more and more abandoned children needing a home, Tahanan ng Pagmamahal needs to find a bigger place for them to stay.

Through AffiniTea’s Raise ‘D Roof run for a cause, they aim to be able to provide enough funds to help build another home for these children, hence the name RAISE THE ROOF.
