To further clarify details on the upcoming blue water day spa run, the organizers decided to hold a bloggers’ night in Kabisera Restaurant at the Bonifacio High Street. We were given some new and more detailed information regarding their run which actually got me a little bit more excited for the run!

I mentioned in my previous post that the singlet they had was really simple because of their JAZZ UP YOUR SINGLET contest.Let me just repeat the mechanics mentioned before

  1. Open to all registration of the Blue Water Spa Run
  2. Participants must jazz up the singlet provided run the race kit by using all kinds of materials (ribbons, lace, sequins etc.)
  3. The entire singlet maybe decorated and jazzed up provided the blue water day spa run logo is not covered and should be completely seen and highlighted.
  4. In order to participate to the contest participant must wear the jazzed up singlet during the race.
  5. The criteria for judging: Originality of: Design – 25% Creativity – 25% (use of decoration materials), Adherence to theme – 15% Overall Impact – 35%
  6. A total of 100 finalists will be asked to do the fashion show at the end run. Each finalist will be given 15 seconds to wear and show off their creation in the cat walk.
  7. Prizes: c/o Blue Water Day Spa.

.In addition this, participants who include logos from the sponsors will receive a 10% bonus! The Top 3 winners will be chosen by the panelist.

Here are some of the QUESTIONS and CONCERNS raised:

Why is it so expensive?” Considering there is no timing chip, runners are surprised by the high price.

According to the organizers, the high price is due to the several goodies and freebies to be given after the race!

Are there any beneficiaries?

None at the moment, however, the Blue Water Day Spa does contribute to a particular institution every December.

“Where can runners park?”

There have been several concerns in the past of car windows being broken, laptops stolen, side mirrors stolen and the like when parked along MOA. Organizers advise those who wish to bring a car to only park at the designated area near Seaside for your car to be under their security. However, it is still advised not to bring laptops and gadgets which will not be used during the run.

So far, those were the top questions I wanted to share… if you have other concerns, do feel free to leave a comment so I can forward it to the organizers!

So what distance are you running? Check out the RACE MAPS below!

The bloggers’ night was a lot of fun! I got the chance to meet a few other runners and bloggers! It was really nice to finally have a face behind the names! Thanks so much to KulitRunner for the invite! I look forward to more meetings like these! My brother Deejay Vince from Mellow 94.7 and WhenInManila was actually also there. He was even one of the host.

.

By the way…(WARNING: PLUG-IN!) I was seated across famous celebrities Boom Lebrusca and Karylle Tatlonghari at the dinner table. They were really fun to talk to! Boom shared about his upcoming show USAPANG LALAKE which would be aired on Studio 23 starting the first week of October. He shared some tidbits which really got me excited. Unfortunately, it might be a little rated PG for my readers! So… stay tuned for his funny funny show!

.

Anyways, back to the run! I already registered for 5k! To view MORE PICTURES from the bloggers’ night, add me up as a friend on facebook and CLICK HERE! See you there!
