The Quezon City International Marathon started out back in 2009 and quickly worked it’s way to the top. I heard about it in the past 2 years but have yet to try running her due to the unavoidable conflicts in my schedule. This year however, I think I’m going to break the ice. Not running a full marathon yet, but will at least experience running in the QCIM for the first time. Who knows, I might run my first marathon here in the future… after all, organizers have already announced that the QCIM will be held annually on the FIRST SUNDAY OF DECEMBER! Nice! better start training for next year’s marathon!

The race is happening in just a few days but registration is extended for those who want to join in the fun! One fan favorite in the QCIM is the route, imagine running through Commonwealth Avenue, UP, La Mesa Dam and Eco Park! You won’t get to experience this in other races! It can be challenging because of the many flyovers, but can also be a “run in the park” as you enjoy the view. Moreover, registering for the run also makes you eligible to win the raffle prize… a CONDO UNIT FROM SMDC!!! WOAH!!! *crossing my fingers!*
