Another run for a cause is coming up this October guys, and this time, it’s the St. Peter Life Run!

I had the privilege of joining last year and did not regret it 1 bit! In fact, it was one of the best fun runs I joined that year! It was a FUN RUN for a GOOD CAUSE! You can read more about my experience here: /st-peter-life-run-perfectly-defines-a-fun-run/

There are hundreds and thousands of children who need someone guiding hand to show them toward the right path. Several of these children are left on the streets begging for food or with houses but without a home. None of them deserve a life like this, and ALL of them deserve a brighter future. So what do you say we be runners for a cause again this coming October 23?

What: St. Peter Life Run

When: October 23, 2011

Where: SM Mall of Asia

Categories: 3k, 5k, 10k

Registration Fee: P200 for all categories

Beneficiaries: Public Elementary Schools in Manila, Cebu and Davao

Just like last year, the fun run will be held simultaneously again in three different locations in Manila (SM Mall of Asia), Cebu (Asiatown IT Park) and Davao (Abreeza Mall). The proceeds of the run will be to help children in need and the group is already coordinating with DepEd to find out which elementary schools in the said areas are the most economically challenged to ensure that in our own little way, we are reaching out to our brothers and sisters who needs all the help they can get.

In last year’s run, St. Peter Life Plans was able to raise 550,000 pesos to donate to the Bantay Bata Foundation! CAN YOU IMAGINE??? The registration fee last year was just P50 and yet they were able to come up with that much to help the less privileged! So what more this year with the fee of P200?

To those of you wondering, the registration fee was increased because the group intends to help MORE children in Manila, Cebu and Davao. PLUS, they also plan to give bigger prizes in the Manila run and to the top 3 runners and will also provide cash prizes for the 4th to 20th finishers in 3k, 5k and 10k.

This coming October 27 to November 2, 2011, St. Peter Life Plans is also celebrating their 41st year anniversary in DeathCare Industry with 6th St. Peter DeathCare Week and St. Peter Life Run is just a start of the week-long celebration. :)

ST. PETER LIFE RUN EVENT INFORMATION

1.  The St. Peter Life Run will be held simultaneously on October 23, 2011 (Sunday) at the SM Mall of Asia-Manila, Asiatown IT Park-Cebu and Abreeza Mall-Davao.
2. The run is open to all runners, with categories of 3 kilometer Costume Fun Run and 5 & 10 kilometer distances.
3. Register for only P200 and help provide bags and school supplies for selected public schools in Manila, Cebu and Davao cities.
4. Runners are encouraged to be in costume across all categories.

ST. PETER LIFE RUN RACE KIT

No return and exchange of race kits after claiming from registration areas. Present the acknowledgement receipt upon claiming the kit.

Race kit includes the following items:

Distance Assembly Time and PRIZES

1. Distance Assembly Time and Gun Start are as follows:

 * Again, runners are encouraged to be in costume across all categories.

2. Participants who are late at the gun start forfeit his/her chance of winning but can still participate in the race.

MANILA RACE PRIZES:

Note:  4^th to 20^th place finishers will also get cash prizes.

• Transferring or exchanging race bib numbers is not allowed. Winning participants found to have violated this rule shall be disqualified and he/she must surrender any prize winnings to the race organizer.
