Ever pictured yourself running 50km? Well what if I told you that you could complete 50km with 4 other friends and just run 10k each?…and what if I told you it would take place in the challenging and beautiful hills of Tanay Rizal?

Running is an individual sport. It brings out the best and the worst in you, yet you still go back for more: another mile perhaps tomorrow. With the benefits of running, no wonder runners have formed groups or clubs just to get the most out of each run or race.

Rundezvous, Inc. has come up with a race that will encourage running as a group or team. Sierra 51050 is a race that is geared towards fostering teamwork and team spirit. A team will be composed of five (5) runners and will cover increments of ten (10) kilometers and will run the 50-km route. Set in the scenic roads and the challenging hills of Tanay, Rizal; it will be a first of its kind promoting camaraderie among team members and bringing out the best in each member.

Rundezvous, Inc. is inviting runners, schools and corporations for Sierra 51050, Team Comes First on February 23, 2014, Sunday in Tanay, Rizal.

So how many kilometers does a runner cover?
A runner may cover 10-20 kms for a leg.

How does that work?

  • Runner 1 will run Km 0-20 (20 kms)
  • Runner 2 will run Km 10-30 (20 kms)
  • Runner 3 will run Km 20-40 (20 kms)
  • Runner 4 will run Km 30-50 (20 kms)
  • Runner 5 will run Km 40-50 (10 kms)

Will there be a leg where only one member runs?
Yes. Runner 1 will be the first to run solo from Km 0-10. By Km10, he/she will be joined by Runner 2. By Km 20, Runner2 2 will be joined by Runner 3 and so on.

Registration Fees:

  • Regular registration fee is PhP 3,500 until February 8, 2014
  • Late registration fee is PhP 4,000 from February 9 – 15, 2014

*inclusive of 5 race bibs and finishers’ kit that includes Sierra shirts and giveaways

*first three teams to cross the finish line will be declared the winners and receive citation, team trophy and cash prize
