Did you know ….

  • that about 8 in 10 of the suspected incidents of human trafficking were classified as sex trafficking by the Bureau of Justice Statistics
  • that an estimated 60,000 to 100,000 children in the Philippines are involved in prostitution rings according to UNICEF
  • and that between 1.2 million and 1.8 million children are trafficked each year world-wide according to the International Labor Organization

Call to Rescue 01

In a report found in Child Trafficking in the Philippines, Unicef reported that the primary causes of child trafficking in the Philippines include poverty, low economic development, gender inequalities, limited employment opportunities, lack of public infrastructure, inadequate awareness, and sex tourism.

Human trafficking is no joke, what more for sex trafficking. Worst part about it is that even helpless children whose lives are supposed to revolve around of fun and play are victimized by this. Beautiful children played with, abused and controlled for money.

Non-Profit Organization “Called to Rescue” Calls for Help

Called to the Rescue is a non-profit, faith neutral, worldwide organization dedicated to the recuing of minor children from sex trafficking, violence and abuse.

Children in poverty need a home, love, clothes and education. That being said, CALLED TO RESCUE is now calling for help in order to provide the needs of these children.

Called to Rescue: How YOU can help

Currently, Called to rescue is collecting toys, gifts, clothing, non-perishable food, cash and miscellaneous items such as toiletries, blankets, pillows, soap and others. The charity drive ended today (sorry for the late post) BUT you can still help out by personally donating and sharing what you have.

There are also many other ways that you can help get these kids back on their feet. The fact that you’re reading this means that you were lucky and blessed growing up. If you had a trial, someone was there to help you, now it’s our turn to give a little and help them.

Let’s make a difference in their futures today.
