Learning about the five senses can be A LOT of fun! There are just SO MANY activities that can be done!
On our lesson about the ears, we decided to create our own pair of LISTENING EARS! So instead of just pretending to “put on” their listening ears during story time, we actually got to try it for real! Once the kids get use to the idea, it becomes a fun way to recall our classroom rules!

Ok, before you feel confused or wonder what I’m doing with flour and ears… it’s an art activity we did in class. We were trying to come up with a way to teach kids about personal hygiene and ear cleaning and this is what we came up with. Most kids love making any kind of sound or music using whatever materials possible. I remember loving to make a whole lot of ruckus myself when I was younger. It's cute and funny how every random thing around them can be made into anything they want with just a little imagination. But of course, it doesn't hurt to also make our own instruments using recycled materials!
